2025-2026 Season

While the Maîtrise Notre-Dame de Paris has always had the mission of keeping alive the cathedral's centuries-old musical heritage, it is also committed to contributing to the creation and development of tomorrow's repertoire. It has therefore commissioned Judith Weir to compose a short mass for children's choir and organ.

Celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, Oster-Oratorium (Easter Oratorio) features bright and festive music, largely based on material from Bach's earlier works. Although much shorter than the great Passions, it displays the same richness of language, carried by the momentum of the Easter message.

The organ, an instrument of polyphony but also of abundant sound, was long considered an orchestra in its own right. For this concert, Thierry Escaich, musician of many talents, combines creation, improvisation, and interpretation at the highest level, three aspects that are inseparable from his art.
