During this concert organized in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy and now a tradition at Notre-Dame de Paris, Lucia candles will shine in the cathedral, their soft, warm glow accompanying the voices of the Adolf Fredrik Choir of Stockholm and the Maîtrise Notre-Dame de Paris.

Organist Thibault Fajoles presents a program dedicated to Advent, the period of preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus: a luminous spiritual journey toward Christmas.

Christmas is that special holiday when music does not ascend to heaven but descends from it. Angels gaze down upon Earth, their hearts set on the horizon. Thus, Christmas music, as it has been conceived over the centuries by giving voice to angels, is the meeting point between Earth and heaven.
