The solists of the Maitrise de Notre-Dame invite us on a European journey through the sacred music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Spirituality is expressed in many ways, carried by the eloquence of the voice.

Trained by some of the greatest masters, notably Olivier Latry at the Paris Conservatory, Sarah Kim captivates audiences with a style that is at once virtuosic, sensitive, and rich in tonal color. Having performed at prestigious venues such as Westminster Abbey in London and the Musikverein in Vienna, she is now recognized as one of the most talented organists of her generation.

A winner of several major international improvisation competitions, Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard explores the most daring combinations of the organ with other forms of artistic expression: dance, visual arts, film, and electronic music. As the titular organist at the Church of Saint-Eustache in Paris, he also performs on major international stages in Europe, the United States, and Japan.

In the 17th and 18th centuries, sacred music experienced a remarkable flourishing, fuelled by artistic exchanges between Italy and France. Bringing together motets, hymns and liturgical excerpts, this programme reveals the richness of the Baroque sacred repertoire, from the intimacy of prayer to the splendour of great celebrations.
